The pain of feeling misunderstood, rejected and outcast (because of our new ministry in Christ) by family and friends can be among the worst pain we can experience. Perhaps it's because when we get right down to it, we really do want acceptance, approval and validation from those we care about the most. We want to share our triumphs, our lessons, our new life, etc. with those we love. The painful truth is that as much as we might desire that, more often than not that acceptance, approval and validation is not being offered! Instead we get met with reminders of our past, failures, shortcomings, etc. These close "friends" and "family" are being confronted by a new you! The "new you" has a moral compass! The new you has peace, has confidence and boldness! Don't lose heart friends! When we make a stand for Christ it comes with a price! The enemy is the accuser and he knows that if he can interject doubt and shame into the equation, he will created paralysis! We must remember that we are made a new creation, the old is gone, behold all things are new! Another words, Stand up and be bold for Jesus and leave the rest to God. Do not be discouraged or surprised when you are not invited to the next big party, or if you are tested, accused, or insulted by loved ones, etc. Don't lose heart, stay strong in The Lord and follow him. When we are walking in the Spirit, we should seek validation and approval from the Holy Spirit of God, not man. Our validation, approval and rewards come later! Mark 6:4 Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home." Thanks for letting me share tonight. Randy Young
