Do you feel lovesick? You're all alone? Or worse yet, you're not alone, and yet you still feel so very lonely? Being lovesick is a state of feeling down and blue because we're either longing for love, missing a loved one who is far away, or wanting love again badly after a breakup. We've all felt the pain and sting of a relationship gone bad, or an estranged relationship...missing a person who is gone from our life. That pain inside is real and deep yet right now this very moment, we can take a giant step in healing that heartache. How? By opening our hearts to our first love. God. We love Him because He loved us first, 1st John 4:19. His love is perfect! In fact, when we look at 1st Corinthians 13, we have a beautiful description of those attributes of His love: patience, kindness, trusting, humbleness, forgiving, hopeful, enduring, He never fails. His love doesn't disappoint, and what's so amazing is that His love is pursuing you and me! Will we get back to our first love? Will we allow Him to take that emptiness and pain? If we are willing to open the door of our heart, He will take the deep pain and give us the anecdote for a lovesick heart...His son Jesus Christ. Thanks for letting me share.
